PROMOTING FORCE-FREE POSITIVE TRAINING & HANDLING
September HEART Member Meeting: Chicken Training & HEART Annual Potluck Dinner
The September HEART Member Meeting and Annual HEART Potluck will take place on Sunday, September 27 at Melissa Laub's Farm.
Chicken Training - 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
We'll be learning a bit about chickens and clicker training ("clickin' chicken") - an experience that Dr. Sophia Yin said was one of her most valuable learning experiences and one of the most influential experiences of her career because training chickens "provided the direct link from the works of B.F. Skinner and academic learning to application that could be used in behavior modification on a day-to-day basis".
HEART's Annual Potluck - Starts at 4:00 pm
Spouses, kids and friendly dogs are welcome. Please bring a side dish to share, a beverage for yourself (alcohol is fine), and HEART will provide burgers and brats. Seating may be limited, so bring along a chair for yourself.
(E-vites will be sent to HEART members with more information.)
